OUR STORY
When Jayden Sutliff was an 8th grader at Safety Harbor Middle School, he was selected to attend a leadership conference in Washington D.C. He had a great time and was able to see several of the monuments and memorials there and was able to listen to a speaker talk about leadership. When the conference was finished, he was asked by his parents to reflect on his experience. He told them that while he had a good time, there was something missing. He explained to them that he would have liked to have had the opportunity to listen to more speakers discuss leadership, motivation, and things that would benefit him now as well as later in life. It would also be an improvement to have more of a hands-on experience with performance-based activities. He talked to his parents for the rest of the trip home and finally asked them if they would help him to create the type of experience that he wished he would have had. His vision was to impact other young people like him and to make a difference in other students. His vision remains the same today as we have met and have had a life-changing impact on several students who have attended our program each year.
Today, Jayden is getting ready to go to Medical School. He will be sharing how he faced many obstacles in order to finally get his acceptance into the program. Students will hear his story and tips for being successful. He will motivate and inspire our students to reach higher than they can imagine.
